TRI-CITIES HIGH SCHOOLS

AT CENTER FOR TRI-CITIES HIGH SCHOOL

Dwight has always believed the real work gets done when the cameras are off. When nobody’s looking. That’s why the work he’s doing now at Tri-Cities High School is so important. Tri-Cities High has many athletically gifted kids, but participation has historically been low. That’s due, in part, to their facilities. Most of the gym equipment was donated from a prison more than 10 years ago. By donating the resources to revamp the weight room, Dwight is helping get the high school’s program back into shape.

Tanzania

AT CENTER FOR TANZANIA

For the past seven years, Dwight has been deeply involved in helping empower Tanzanian school girls with the housing, products and educational resources they need to thrive. “It’s very hard for young women to go to school, and when they do there’s a danger of them being raped or kidnapped and all sorts of things happening with them getting to school,” Howard told the Huffington Post. “That didn’t sit too well with me. And so I just want to do my part to help these women with the opportunity to go to school and learn.”

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS

AT CENTER FOR BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF AMERICA

Over the entirety of Dwight’s prolific career, he has been a champion of children everywhere he has play. As evidenced by his ongoing partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of America. From taking kids to special screenings of new movies, holiday shopping sprees, or just grabbing a book and reading it to them, Dwight has worked to instill the same love for life that’s been so important to defining who he is. On the inside.
